Do you ship abroad?
We do, but be aware that, because of the weight of many of the kits, this can be expensive. We have tried to find the most cost effective methods and it is usually more cost effective to order a number of kits - typically shipping to EU countries costs approximately £30 for a 10kilo parcel. We are a UK based company.
I’m interested in the make your own kits but I’m worried I don’t have the skills.
Please don’t be worried it really is as easy as we claim it is to make your own products. Most of the kits involve just mixing the ingredients together and only a few of the kits involve heating anything. All the information you need will be in the kit but if you’re still worried when you see your kit, email us and we’ll try to guide you through the process. Most of the kits take a maximum of 1 hour to make a finished product.
Do you do any kits suitable for children?
Our bath bomb and soap kits have all been used by children, with parental guidance. We don't advice them for very young children, although children as young as 5 have made the bath bombs very successfully. We would advise you use caution if using Essential Oils with children - see below.
Are Essential Oils safe?
Because of the nature of some concentrated Essential Oils I advise they are not used by pregnant women or in products for children and babies. Also, please be careful about where you store your oils so they are out of reach of children, be aware they do not have child proof lids, and are not safe to ingest.
What’s an INCI list?
There are laws about what manufacturers can put in their cosmetics and skin care products. These laws also state that all ingredients must be listed by their INCI name. INCI stands for the International Nomenclature for Cosmetics Ingredients (aren’t you glad you asked?) and they are simply internationally agreed upon names for the various ingredients, mostly based on the Latin botanical name for the plants. Some manufacturers produce labels that have the INCI name and the common name (for instance Aqua (water) or Lavandula Hybrida (Lavender Oil)).
Do you have a catalogue?
The catalogue will be available in a PDF (downloadable) format and we will provide a link as soon as it is available.
What if something in my package is broken?
We endeavour to pack our products adequately, but in the event of a breakage please let us know as soon as your package arrives and we will replace it if we can.
What if I’m not happy with the products?
If for any reason you are not happy with the quality of the products you can return them to us for a credit note. This does not include the Oils Selection or any items that have been used or tampered with in any way. This does not affect your statutory rights.
What if I order something and you’ve run out?
When Items are out of stock we will not substitute other items without your consent. If your phone number is included on your order we will try and contact you to seek your advisement, otherwise we will post the incomplete order with a notification of what is missing and a credit note. You can ask us for a refund or you can wait for the item to be in stock, in which case it will be posted to you as soon as we have it available.
Hopefully we have made browsing the online shop as easy as it should be. Use the navigation bar on the left of the screen to choose the section of the shop you wish to visit. This will usually take you to front page which lists all the sub sections of that section. You can use the ‘BACK’ button on your browser to go back a page or click the ‘HOME’ button at any time to take you back to the index page.
BUYING THE KITS
Because we offer most of the kits in huge range of fragrances it is impossible to describe them all - However we think it's easier for you to simply go to the Page for the kit you're interested in and then select the size and fragrances etc from the drop down menu, thereby simplifying your buying experience.
BUYING
Most items will offer you a ‘SELECT’ or 'CHOICE' drop down list, make your selections and then Click the ‘ADD TO BASKET’ button. This will open a new window with your shopping basket listing all the items you’ve purchased. Other items won't have a selection menu - in this case just click the 'ADD TO BASKET' button.
REMOVING ITEMS FROM THE BASKET
To remove an item, simply check the box (in your basket) next to the item and click the ‘UPDATE BASKET’ button to remove it.
VIEWING THE BASKET
All the pages have a ‘VIEW’ button on them (in the top right corner of the header), simply click on this to open the window which contains your basket/purchases.
POSTAGE
Postage will be added to your total when you go to the check out. Postage is calculated according to the weight of the item and includes Packaging charges. You will never be charged more than £8 for Postage on any order.
PAYMENT
Can be made by various means - If you have a Paypal account you will be able to log in and make the payment from you Paypal account or you can pay by credit card. All your details are secure which means merchants (i.e. Us) do not have access to your card details. Alternatively you can choose to pay by cheque, which should be made out to Estheticals and posted to the address above.
