BASIC INGREDIENTS FOR SOAP MAKING
If you are looking to make up your own kit, or you have bought a kit and want to make more luscious soap based products, this section should have everything you need. In a variety of useful sizes and a selection of types you can buy Soap Bases, Butters, Petals, Colours and most other inclusions.
Solid Butters
Shea Butter & Cocoa Butter can both be added to Soap base (see above if you prefer not to attempt this tricky maneuver) - You will need a stick blender to properly incorporate the butter and never use more than 10% of the total weight. For instance if using 1 K of soap base add 100g of butter.
Salts 500g
Dead Sea Salt & Epsom Salt can be added to Soaps but we only recommend this for experienced soap makers and you should be prepared to use a bit of trial and error to get this right.
Clay
Green - For Normal to oily Skin
Red - For Normal Skin & Can be used as a hair mask.
Yellow - Normal Skin
Pink - For Sensitive Skin can be used for skin firming
White - Normal to Sensitive Skin
Petals
In 20g or 50g Bags you'll have enough to add to lots of bath bombs or soaps, depending on whether you just want a sprinkling of petals or you want to feel like Cleopatra swimming in petals. Alternatively you can purchase a pack of petals which will give you a variety of additions for your products.
SLS FREE Melt & Pour Soap Base
In either Clear or Opaque this SLS Free, glycerine based, Melt & Pour soap base is really good value. If you would like a richer Soap Base we have Soap Base with added Shea or Cocoa Butter for an extra charge.
** Please be aware that the addition of butters will reduce the clarity of 'Clear' Soap Base and that butter bases may need to be blended (after melting) to prevent seperation.
Clays
Clays are great for adding a little bit of that 'Natural Spa' quality to your soaps. They are all rich in minerals and anti-oxidants & when mixed into soaps they make for a gentle exfoliating face soap - they also can be used to add a little bit of colour.
Liquid Colours
For soaps, gels and water based products
In a variety of sizes you'll have enough to colour many soaps, gels or other products. You can buy a basic pack in either 5ml, 10ml or 30ml or you can purchase the colours individually.
